Last weekend I had a much needed staycation in St. Petersburg (thanks, Chloe!) and got the chance to meet with the lovely Sara of Studio Magnolia. Besides the heat and humidity from some summer showers, we had the best afternoon at the beautiful Vinoy Renaissance Resort in downtown St. Pete.
The colorful property is mostly pink with shades of green and is one of the most stunning historical landmarks in town. It is a must-see/stay if you are visiting the area. I headed straight for the Tea Garden, complete with lush palms and a peaceful fountain.
Now for the main attraction: this striped skirt with ruffles galore! For a summer day in Florida, there is nothing more fashionable and dare I say practical to wear. The combo of blue and white is preppy, but the cut is so fun and free. Definitely a piece to twirl in!
I paired it with a simple crop top from Zara, which has sold out. I’ve linked similar. My ankle strap shoes are from H&M and I’ve also linked a similar style. You may still be able to find them in stores 🙂
And of course, I have my trusty Milly wicker satchel with me and my fave pair of sunnies by Dita (the best brand for oversized styles). They’ve carried me through this summer and hopefully more to come.
